Serving the District of Columbia & Maryland
I have a strong interest in fighting for employees trying to keep their jobs. My experience in employment law consisted of litigating discrimination and retaliation lawsuits in the public and private sector as well as grieving removal and performance actions on behalf of government employees in arbitration proceedings, termination appeals and before the Merit Systems Protection Board. I represent local and municipal employees (firemen, police officers, school teacher etc.) in removal proceedings before Trial Boards, District of Columbia Office of Employee Appeals and School Board appeals. I act as outside union counsel for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), 14th District. I have also had experience prosecuting wage and hour, overtime, misclassification and Portal to Portal act claims on behalf of employees who have been unfairly denied pay and benefits.
Fees associated with employment cases can be fixed, contingent or mixed depending on the type of matter. Clients can expect to pay out of pocket fees as well as attorney’s fees in some instances when an outside attorney has been retained on your behalf.
