About Crump
Prior Experience
Before dedicating my law practice to serious injury and estate and business planning cases, I practiced labor and employment law for over twenty (20) years. My experience in employment law consisted of litigating discrimination and retaliation lawsuits in the federal sector as well as grieving removal and performance actions on behalf of government employees in arbitration proceedings before government agencies as well as before the Merit Systems Protection Board. I have experience representing local and municipal employees (firemen, police officers, etc.) in removal and reduction in force proceedings before designated Trial Boards and the District of Columbia Office of Employee Appeals. And I acted as outside union counsel for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), 14th District for eight (8) years. I also have experience prosecuting wage and hour, overtime, misclassification and Portal to Portal Act claims on behalf of employees who have been unfairly denied pay and benefits.
In 2013, Mr. Crump began devoting a substantial amount of his practice to business and estate planning. His estate planning practice is dedicated exclusively to the preparation and drafting of the following: (1) Comprehensive Trust based estate plans for individuals, families and small business owners; and (2) Asset Protection Trust for individuals in litigious professions. Mr. Crump’s Estate Planning practice is specifically designed and dedicated to meet the comprehensive estate and business planning needs of physicians, professional athletes, small business owners as well as families. He works with a team of certified public accountants, financial planners and financial advisors to design and implement comprehensive planning strategies that assist professionals in preserving their business or personal wealth for the benefit of themselves and their loved ones and/or beneficiaries at their death. Given his prior litigation experience, he also understands that one of the biggest impediments to preserving wealth can be lawsuits. Implementing a viable estate plan with asset protection can be crucial to sustaining your legacy and the legacy of your business.
